Couldn’t watch live event, but just watched now, taking notes. Looking forward to doing all of those simple weight/resistance exercises. Thank you!
Good one Lynda, let me now how you get on!
PPS Sorry about the typo on Diastasis Recti [not recto]. I only have the separation of the rectus muscle sheath, not a hernia–just wanted to clarify.
I’d really like to do these core exercises you showed us tonight as I think they would really help me a lot. I really need to strengthen my glutes and belly muscles so I don’t walk like you demonstrated, which i have a tendency to do 🙂 I loved the confidence poses!
Now that I have given you a few more details can you give me any advice please?
Thanks Brian
Esmé
Hi Brian,
I went to put in a paragraph then all that I had written disappeared, so will try again. Hope you don’t get a duplicate.
I really enjoyed this hang out tonight, and yes, I WAS doing it along with you! 🙂
My apologies for throwing that question at you so close to the end. It only occurred to me to ask it at that time. I was typing so quickly to catch you that I didn’t know how much to put into it. The diastasis recto happened about 5 years ago when I fell down a flight of stairs-also broke a dorsal vertebra in my back [No spinal cord involvement, and I don’t have osteoporosis]. All is o.k. and it is not a hernia–the abdominal wall is all in tact, but I get a bulge in my belly when I do a crunch, such as when getting up from a lying position.
I was just wondering if there are any abdominal strengthening exercises that might specifically help this one.
Thanks very much, Brian.
Esmé
PS I loved your little doggie as she wandered over to check you were OK. The dear little thing is quite the up-stager, isn’t she? 🙂
On the day that you are doing resistance, can you do more than one round in an area? Hamstrings ugh… could hardly lift at all…. should we do as best we can or look for a different one?
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for sharing your question.

For the resistance piece.. is it GM kosher to do one of the exercises to exhaustion at a time.. getting them in over the course of the day… maybe with a goal to do them all at one time… if you do it this simply is there any reason to not do them on consecutive days…. Just moving and starting is a big step…. if the mood strikes go for it or every other day. Thanks Sharon
Hi Everyone,
If you have any questions you would like to ask Brian in today’s show please add them here in the comments section or above in the chat roll box.
