Please do a class on leaky gut syndrome and rebuilding healthy flora! Do I have it? Do I really need bone broth? What about resistent starch? Every website I look at is different.
Brilliant Topic! I will do so next month! Thank you!!!
Yay! This is exactly the topic I need to follow!
Thanks Rita and Heather.
Hi! Loved this first program- Here is the thing Green veggies make me gag-even throw up. I’m going into theta and doing power words about loving veggies (fresh whole ones that is) trying-hoping-praying I’ll like them by Aug. 15 when I’ll be doing Jon’s Cleanse here at home. My first cleanse and I’m 64. I do like Romain Lettuce-just started a few weeks ago including them in every thing I can. What I want to know is should I force myself to eat them -esp the cleanse (which I already paid for) until I like them. I’ve already done cellular level and emotional therapy on this over being force fed veggies till I threw up every day by the nuns at school for years till Mom put me in public school. Maybe this will all be moot point by then and the power words will work. Thanks.
Ginger,
I am in awe of your courage and determination. If you can tolerate slightly cooked veggies either in stir-frys or soups, that is a great way to introduce veggies to your system to help your body become alkaline. Then make small juices with more carrot, lemon, celery and cucumber so you like the taste and work your way up. There is no starting or finishing line. If you feel you are not ready for the cleanse you can listen and learn and then implement when you are ready. The goal is the big picture, and that is loving your body where it is. Making gentle changes is ideal.
Thanks Heather,
I already drink alkaline teas & some foods. I also discovered I like my chicken & tuna salad on celery yesterday. It seems I like cold and crunchy.
I have had in soups-so will try that with the healthy homemade versions of those canned soups. I’ll just add to the Bone broth I made this weekend. I’ve never had stir fry-so I’ll try that. I like cooking adventures since I started my “diet” What would you recommend stir frying-The above veggies? “Loving my body where it is” Thank you for that reminder. Sometimes I get caught up in all these videos and think I should be eating the way Jon shows in his-I need to remember I am where I am ( after all no longer craving or having eaten sugar-white flour in 10 mo. is a pretty big deal).
Hi Heather,
Came into the Hangout late but watched the full episode later. I love your infectious laugh!
I wanted to ask you a question about iron and iron absorption. I had blood tests and they say that I am quite deficient. For example, at breakfast, I have 1/2 an avocado, a smoothie with fresh organic spinach and parsley, 5 tsp of sprirulina, 1/2 cup wild blueberries, vit. c, and garden of life sprouted raw protein powder blended with 2 cups water. Maybe my body isn’t absorbing this cause it has quite a bit of iron.
Would you have any suggestions to build up my iron? Would electrolytes have anything to do with this?
Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing your smiling face soon!

Hi Jona:)
So great to hear from you. Step back a bit and look at the bigger picture. Your body isn’t absorbing “minerals” well. You may need more Vitamin C, digestive support, de-stress tools, and quality protein. Try Vitamin C and digestive support before you eat for awhile and observe your energy level. Has your body released weight, or are fat triggers still very present?
I sense we may need a session, this may help you look at it all more comprehensively. I don’t know if this is possible, but we can check with April@theGabrielmethod.com.
I am more focused on your overall energy, digestion, nervous system health, then just the iron, that is one drop in the big ocean.
Heather
