It’s November of 2012. I took Jon’s 6 weeks weight related program beginning in July and am currently part of Jessica Ortner’s similar 7 weeks program. I have such faith in this approach and have made many healthy changes as a result and have learned more than all the programs on weight loss I have ever studied and/or followed put together. (I’m 69, by the way). This week I hit despair, for I recently finally lost 5 pounds and within a couple of weeks I’d gained back 2 and am still falling back on my periodic sugar and overeating binges (for the most part, I eat a very healthy diet). I’ve listened to Jon’s (and now Jessica’s) visualizations every morning and evening and am exercising nearly every day from almost nearly no exercise at all. I’ve done emotional release work until I’m nearly worn out. All the above is simply background to what I’m about to say. Dr. Northrup’s words of wisdom went so much further (regarding my own sorts of obstacles) than any other information I have ever heard that I sobbed throughout much of this interview hearing reasons that were very probably the cause of the nearly unbearable years of PMS and then menopause that I endured culminating in the weight gain I’ve unsuccessfully dealt with for the past 20 years. I could go on and on, but I will end, saying thank you so much Jon and Dr. Northrup for your vast depth of knowledge and your amazing fountain of information imparted with such obvious care and compassion. I feel I can keep moving forward now. I’m feeling more than a glimmer of hope once again. Thank you with all my heart!
This was so great to listen to –it explained so much in language that I could understand. Community and gratitude for happiness. the experience of trauma on myself and others as a result of earthquakes is like all of us hitting menapause at the same time!!! I’ve been finding that integrating and finally healing other times in my life is moving me toward resilience and total recovery.
I laugh now at how long this process is taking and where it leads me from eating chia seeds to having a massage to visualisations and exercise…definately an interactive journey!!
It’s so great to finally integrate all of my life–domestic violence, etc and walk forward knowing that being gentle with myself and others-really creates the sustainable joy that I knew was possible.
Thank you so much for sharing and your compassion–
Fantastic interview!
Wow. Dr Northrup is truely inspirational. I feel inspired to do the excercises she spoke of and I want that Nitric Oxide!
nowhere does it give me an option to put in my pass number etc
