Thank you so much!!! I will send me a reminder to my office email right now and will start doing those nice “quickies” tomorrow. Maybe I’ll also set an alarm for several times during the day (because I tend to forget …)
    Kind regards,
    Doris

Holy smokes! This totally explains why I feel fine in the morning then as the day goes on I get more stiff especially in my legs! I’m absolutely doing these! Thank you!!

  3. Delores says:

I’m going to give this a go, let you know next week how it went.

  4. Frances Lockstone says:

Ok thanks Brian, I get caught up when I am writing!I taught Alexander Technique for many years so I should know better but the work takes over. Really enjoying doing the exercises when boiling a kettle.

  5. Kathleen says:

These are great! I’m a receptionist…so I may need to wait until moment when no one is up at my desk and just go into the next room 🙂

This was great. I am disabled due to back/knee,etc arthritis, The exercises shown are ones I can and will do at home. I take P.T. 3 times a week and some of the exercise shown here are what I am already doing but it won’t hurt to do more than 3 times a week. Thank you,

Hi I am new to gabriel method!bit lost as to a dailly routine and the book hasnt arrived yet. I am 66 play tennis once aweek and go tobthe gym once a week but I am a writer and I sit alot so will try the ten min routine today. Thanks forvthe inspiring video

    • Coach Brian says:

Hi Frances, I think you’ll get a lot from the book. Writing is great for your mind but the sitting can tend to put weight on. Please get into a routine of getting up, giving yourself a break and doing some of the exercises shown. All the best, Brian

Doable! Although I probably won’t lift my legs up to the front. In the past, I suffered with sciatica and that movement seems to aggravate my condition.

    • Coach Brian says:

Yes Pamela anything that doesn’t feel ‘right’ please don’t do. The last thing we want to do is to aggravate any issues. Thanks for your post, Brian

Hi, Brian, Thanks for these. I didn’t feel rested when I woke up this morning. My mind, body and muscles felt tired. How timely that Jon’s email led me to these exercises. I did them, plus a few stretches and immediately felt so much better. I’ve found here some easy wake up
exercises! I will do them periodically when I’m working at the computer, also. Wonderful.

  10. Jean Davis says:

    Very helpful. Thanks, Brian.

  11. Opalyn Mok says:

Are there any minimum or maximum reps for each exercise?

    • Coach Brian says:

No Opalyn, just do as many as you like or feels good at the time.
It is not a fitness program as such, but a way to use your body to create energy and vitality. Hope that helps.
      Brian

Thank you for the great tips!

Thanks Brian, it’s surprising how well these exercises work. After doing them I feel a lot better, and I think I’ll incorporate them into my day when a workout isn’t practical at the moment, yet I need to move physically to remove tension. I’ll remind a friend of mine (a member of TGM) who is very stressed out at work, to check in and see this video. If she wants to hide, she has a large walk-in supply closet in her office, so she could step in there and do a few of these quickly. Bette

    • Coach Brian says:

Thanks Bette, every bit counts (even in the closet). Let your friend know I’m here if she needs any help.
All the best and thanks for your post Bette,
      Kindest regards
      Brian

    • Jean Davis says:

Bette, LOVE the suggestion that your friend could disappear for a few minutes into the supply closet to incorporate exercise to deal with stress. I’m going to share that suggestion with my daughter. Thanks.

      • Bette says:

Jean, I’m happy to hear that your daughter might be able to covertly do some of Brian’s de-stress moves at work. I had hesitated to mention the closet, but that’s what I would do, even in the rest room if no one was there. A few upper cuts and punches in a stall probably wouldn’t be detected and would do her the world of good. 🙂 Depending on the people in the office, this method could be shared, what fun that would be! Imagine seeing people standing up and doing these moves intermittently all through an office! Of course there would be some who’d put on their mp3 players and incorporate the moves into a dance and then memos surely fly about proper office behavior. It could be a game to see who cold do a few moves without being caught. Maybe while walking, too. Great for office morale. LOL. Bette
