I think that what jon tells us on the video is so true. The hard part is internalising that belief and making it my own. So i will just fake it untill it becomes a reality for me and practice practice practice!!! Here goes
I know first hand about your mind and the power it has over healing. I had a whipple surgery for cancer. They cut out part of my stomach, part of my pancreas, my duodenum, gallbladder and part of my intestine in 1996. Every thing that could go wrong, went wrong. I was terribly depressed, scared to death, I had lost all energy and will to live. My mind was definitely my worst enemy. I was in the hospital for three months. I had tubes another 5 months. I wasn’t expected to live very long. As soon as that Dr. pulled that last tube out, I was out of there!!! I was suppose to get checked so often which I refused to do. They had told me that the operation would change my life dramatically. I remember hearing that with my husband beside me and I thought ok. So what? I’m stronger than you know buddy. My mind became so negative after the surgery and the pain. I almost died several times. Some kind therapist came out to my house for therapy for me. She told me to stop looking at what was wrong and start looking for what was right. She gave me new eyes. A fresh perspective which I needed! I really started to get better. I knew I was not going to die.
I’m confused… I signed up for the Support Group, and logon OK. But so far none of the videos play for me. I click on the Start button and it just sits there at 0:00. What’s up?

I find this to be truly amazing. I’m new here; but am learning so much daily. I’ve not really had any personal experiences like this; but do believe in the power of the mind and our thoughts. Because I know when I tell myself in Yoga class I’m not able to do something, I”m noticing I really can’t. But when I have a clear mind, just let my body go, I’m amazed at the poses I can do.
Re. Power of Belief. Many years ago I was a bar man & we tried this out on a very heavy drinker. We gave him his first whisky & ginger ale, from there on for several hours we just dipped the rim of his glass in a saucer with a little whisky then topped up the glass with dry ginger ale. The man went home quite drunk. We put the money he had spent aside & gave it to him the next day telling him what we had don’t. He refused the refund & was very adamant that he did drink whisky all day, we could not convince him other wise but he watch us like a hawk after that. So the power of belief does work. I have dropped 2.2 kg in three days. I have visualized my self as I was at 20 years of age, I am now 73 years old. Rex
Some years ago at a work lunch one woman brought along her diet rum & cola (diet cola with rum essence for the taste but not the alcohol or calories) she shared it with one of the men without telling him what it really was and he got quite flushed and tipsy as the meal went on. Much to the amusement of those of us in the know!
The power of the mind is fascinating!
I would like to get to the new member’s video. How do I do that ?
