Hi jon.
How do you do that if you live in Wisconsin and don’t see the sun for months at a time? I found that when I lived in southern California, I did not struggle with weight but as soon as I move to a colder region,my fat thing is turned on and I struggle with my weight again. How do I overcome this when living in cold weather? Thanks for your response

Yes it harder no question. That’s why an exercise like this, where you make a point of spending at least a few minutes in the sun and energising your food with sun light would be so beneficial for you.
Hi Jon,
I love this – the blood of trees! How amazing is that! I love the concept of having almost the same life blood as trees! Wonderful! The only problem is that it’s the dead of winter here in the UK and we’ve had no sun at all today – in fact it’s been so dull I’ve needed to drive with the lights on in the middle of the day. Short of coming to live with you (I’m sure you’ve room for a small family ha ha!?)it is tricky to bask in sunlight. Not as challenging as Annete in Norway, but still an issue. Would visualising my greens being bathed insunlight before I ate them work? Just a thought… Thanks for a great blog x
Would definitely help. You can even energise your food by holding your hands over it and imagining white light going into it. Invisible life force energy of qi moves with thought, so you can direct energy into your food before you eat by imagining white light or sunlight going into to it. To me it’s like an energetic form of prayer over your food. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Amazing idea! This has re-ignited my passion for growing my own edibles in my garden. I am fortunate to live in a climate with 3 growing seasons so I’m going to be focused on my edible garden over the next few months to see if I can ‘energize’ from fresh picked, home grown leafy greens and herbs. Thanks for the inspiration!
What occurred to me when I watched this is how much less hungry I feel during the summer months compared to the winter months. The sunlight’s captured energy in our bodies providing the energy we need! Heading into winter now in Canada but today was a beautiful autumn day and spent an extra 10 minutes in the sun before I walked into my home this afternoon. Just stopping to take in the sunlight 🙂
It is another cloudy day in the UK.. I’m feeling sluggish and Under the Weather!! So maybe the lack of sunshine really is causing this lack of energy.. thats what it feels like. So how do we get more sunlight when it is cloudy? Do the essential rays come through the clouds? and following Jon’s reply to Anette, what are cold water fish? or may be what are not cold water fish?
did you ever come across Kirlian photography? it is a way of photographing ‘invisible energy’. In an early presentation, Harry Oldfield, who developed it, showed photos of the energy field of a cabbage ..a wonderfully exuberant light show, then a photo of the same cabbage after it had been in the fridge for 24 hours… very different.. I did an interesting experiment in Harry’s lab of visualising my breath into a dish of water. There were 2 dishes of water that were used as ‘controls’. Their energy was fairly low. When the lights were out, I projected my breath energy into one of the bowls and asked Harry to activate the equipment…. The dish I had ‘breathed’ into was full of exuberant light, while the other was still very dull. What was additionally interesting and very relevant to the GM method, was that she the light was put on i realised that the energised dish had not been where I had thought it was when i visualised breath going into it, but that seemed to make no difference. You can find Harry Oldfield on UTube.
I grow most of my own veggies and fruit so am very excited about what you are saying Jon as I have found a big difference between the food I pick and use immediately and what I have picked the day before. I also feel that the modern fridge destroys the cells of freshly picked food so I have a pantry cupboard which keeps veggies fresh much longer. I use a Nigerian fridge which is a terra cotte plant pot with a small one inside seperated by river sand which I keep wet and covered by a wet towel. Veggies last really well in that too, but definately the freshly picked and eaten is the best.
Wow!
Big argument here for picking and eating fresh from the garden!
Coincidentally that is my current project.. building a raised bed at the back door to grow seasonal greens for me to immediately pick fresh just as I need them. Stop me relying on bought produce with a dubious history before reaching my table.
Hello, I totally agree with this, getting as much sunlight in food as possible.
However I live in Norway, a very dark country for the next 6 months.
What is the best food to eat in a country as dark as ours this time of year? In other words, what food keeps the sunenergy the longest?

Yes nothing’s better than freshly picked!

Cold water fish and lots of greens. Also when then sun it out, try to bath your face and skin for at least 10 minutes if you can.
Jon
Thanks 🙂
