    What about frozen fruits and veggies such as brries or cauliflower? They’re frozen raw before being in Packets. Do they also loose their nutrients?

    • Denaleigh -Gabriel Method Team says:

      Hi Yasmine,
      In an ideal world it would be great to always just eat fresh fruits and vegetables – however this is not always possible. Snap frozen berries and vegetables are a good alternative when the fresh option is not available or possible. These frozen products are not essentially live foods anymore – and they will have lost some of their nutrients, but they are still can be a great addition to your meals.

    Hi
    I have heard lots of Jon’s videos and he insists on live foods and once he was talking about how processed meat doesn’t have any life force in it….so i was wondering if the chicken and meat that I buy should be Directly from the butcher?? I switched to processed raw meat for hygiene reasons. Any advice?

      Hi Saee,

      When Jon says live food he is speaking about fresh fruits and vegetables. He is not including meat in this category. If you choose to eat meat he recommends organic meat that is cooked but not overcooked.

      Hi Saee,
      You don’t have to purchase your meat from a butcher if your local supermarket sells good quality fresh, unprocessed product. However, if you are unsure – it might be best to purchase from your local butcher. Most good supermarkets offer many different options.
      I hope this helps.

    I just gag at the thought of fish of any kind, let alone raw! How bout grilled chicken? And how do you eat all that leafy stuff..dressing?

    • Denaleigh -Gabriel Method Team says:

      Hi Karen,
      If you don’t enjoy fish then Grilled Chicken would be fine to have. Some great dressing suggestions for salads can be
      Balsamic Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil;
      Lemon juice, mineral salt and Extra Virgin Olive Oil;
      Sesame Oil and Tamari (a gluten free version of Soy sauce),
      Apple Cider Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
      I hope this helps.
      Kind regards

    Great idea! Great meal!!! Would be ideal for me. Looked yummy and healthy! I used to go to local Asian Markets nearby where I live. They carry all types of fresh fish including sashimi at very reasonable prices and they also carry fresh produce. Basically, I would load up there and take Sushi/Sashimi, and all the fixin’s to dinner gatherings and impress my guests, or friends as I would obtain it for much less than they imagined since they are used to the restaurant prices you mentioned. I would even bring in a nice big slice of raw fish with some salad and/or seaweed salad about once a week for my dinner here at work (night shift work), but I started to hear more and more about the severity of continuing radiation poisoning in the waters around Fukishima, Japan. I heard it was so bad that it was affecting farmers and fishing across the ocean on our own Pacific (U.S) coast. As the consequence, I cut way back on my Sushimi eating, but I miss it. One clue that it was likely coming from that area is I noticed by reading the label that my seaweed salad was imported from Japan. That’s when I started to become concerned about the food I was buying at these Asian markets and also at Asian restaurants that feature sushi and sashimi although I have eaten sashimi at restaurants several times recently around the Christmas/New Year holiday season because when you’re running a lot of errands in extremely limited spare time, this seemed like a healthier “eat out” choice than most other restaurants would be. Just getting away from wheat can be such a challenge and I prefer to minimize my consumption of factory farmed animal products, but because I work and commute a total of about 60 hours a week, I often have to grab food out in order to get other things done in my life. I’ll occasionally, although reluctantly settle for Restaurant or Cafeteria chicken or turkey when fresh, unbreaded seafood, non-fried seafood is not available. My question is “Should I be concerned about fish and sea veggies coming from Asia these days, especially Japan. I generally have no way of knowing the source of fish in Asian markets and restaurants and am not sure I won’t be told what I want to hear, rather than than the honest truth if I ask.

      Hi Barbara,

      We highly recommend you buy fish that you know is organic, and not affected by these contaminates. We are not sure about how to do that where you live, but it is extremely important to make sure the fish is clean and healthy.

    How can we make sure we are killing or/and preventing issues with parasites?

  6. Pam says:

    what if you don’t prefer RAW salmon? cook?

  7. Desiree Butzer says:

    So i made the comment above before listening to the clip, this is how I got my super deal….I too went to a fish factory shop!! Really a great tasting Salmon for a fraction of the price, have made my own ginger, used a beet to colour it and pickled it in ACV xx

  8. Desiree Butzer says:

    Salmon is soooo expensive in South Africa….that would never be considered a Budget meal here……love Salmon though and just got a good deal as well xxx

  9. Terilee Mitchell says:

    Is there such a thing as eating too much salad items in one go? I don’t know if it’s appropriate to put here, but I would eat a large plate of salad greens (not lettuce), with 2 eggs, and seeds and a small handful of nuts.

  10. Julia says:

    Ooh Jon… that looks delicious 🙂 I would eat more than that in one sitting though. There is plenty of salmon there but I’d definitely increase the salad significantly with cucumber, tomato, olives, perhaps some avocado and a sprinkle of chia seeds with a little balsamic vinegar (which is probably another good parasite killer)

    I am going to search for some fresh fish here in South Dakota….wish me luck!!
