Hi, Brian,
In this video someone mentioned resistance to getting up half an hour earlier to exercise. Well. I have always had resistance to exercise of any kind, any day, any time (except years ago when I loved dancing and never once thought of it as exercise) and now at 71 I am going all out to change that. I’ve learned that for myself doing eft tapping while saying aloud chosen affirmations works wonders, so I have just this week created a page of exercise affirmations for myself. It only takes about 5 minutes or so to tap them in and it’s fun. If I get to one or more that put me into any degree of emotional turmoil or doubt, I go back to that one later and do the emotional release form of EFT on it. I’ve done this with food cravings and choices for a couple of months now and finally I have transformed my whole mindset around food addictions to something more healthy than I ever imagined for myself. Thanks so much for these great videos. I’m coming to them every day now!
Hi Catherine,
I really like the idea of using Tapping and exercise together.
Completely up to you but I would suggest many other GM’ers are in the same situaion as you and would benefit from your affirmations.
Would you mind sharing them with me, so I could use them in my next Ask Brian show?
No pressure but I’d apprecaite it.
You can email me direct at brian@thegabrielmethod.com
Many thanks Catherine, Brian
So Brian, I still have my question…. I have not done anything in years prior to the 21 day.. I progressed to 10# wts quickly and range between 30-50 reps…. Since I am a neophyte do I need to stay here for awhile before upping the wt.. With 15# wts I do 10-20 reps.. I don’t want to create trouble on “my attachments”. In the past, I did have lots of tendonitis in various locations… So far so good and not having any flare ups with working as you have suggested. Trying to stick with your suggestions until Omega…. Hopefully by then, I will want fitness. Always, thank your for your guidance.. Sharon
Hi Sharon,
thanks for your support.
From what you are saying I feel you are ready to use the 15# consistently. I like the number of reps being between 10- 20.
Well done and thanks again!
Brian
It’s a go, I did it this way today. although now that you use one handed on the over the head and down the back one I need to stick with the 10# on that….
I love this hang out…
