Hi Jon all those juice bars use juicers and i heard that juicers kill all the vitamines as compared to an extractor but it’s very expensive. How can we be sure that juicers keep the whole vitamines

    • Nadine - GM Team says:

Hi Yasmine. Apologies for the late response.

When eating on the go, it is important to be more flexible and think in terms of “better than” versus best. A green juice from a juice bar is better than a coke and therefore the best option if you don’t have access to a higher quality juicer. All green juices loose nutrients over time regardless of the extraction method but green juice will always be the better choice than other fast and cheap options that don’t do anything to nourish the body.

Hope this helps! -Monica, GM Team

What type of protein powder do you recommend for smoothies. Whey? Soy? Im not sure which is best nutritionally.

I was told by a dietician that if I have a Boost juice…I might aswell have a Mars bar LOL
Since then…I’ve learnt that it’s the ‘sugar’ (albeit natural) that is not ideal for weight loss.
My PT gave me a tasty recipe for a ‘Green smoothie’ that I try and drink 4 out of the 7 days of the week. In a food processor…blend 2 handfuls of raw baby spinach…a few celery sticks…a handful of parsley…half an avacado…half a cucumber…lemon juice…and about 200mls of water. You can add a green apple for sweetness…Chia seeds for fibre…and garlic or ginger if you like those LOL It makes about half a litre and I drink it over two days for breakfasts.

    Hi Jon,
I use Boost juice a great deal.I was told by the dietician that berries are OK as they are not high in sugar
. She & my doctors also told me to be careful I don’t have too much protein because too much protein can rob the calcium from my bones.
I have been having berries & yoghurt with chia seeds on every breakfast & lunch because they satisfy me foodwise I never feel hungry now between meals. I need to lose so much weight
I want to have a green juice but I really feel I need something to sweeten it. Can you suggest something please & what time of day, afternoon?

    Thank you

    Alicia

      Hi Alicia,

1/2 an apple usually helps to sweeten the juice and a squeeze of lemon and/or some ginger helps cut some of the bitterness of the greens. You can choose to drink the juice whenever you feel hungry or thirsty.

    Hi Jon, Support

    Thanks for the video.

Just letting you know the sound is very very soft and can hardly hear Jon speaking. (Tried upping everything)

    Any transcript by any chance?
