Great video. I have trouble with my neck caused by having been a secretary for over 30 years much of the time sitting at a desk, typing and at times holding the phone between my shoulder and ear. This stretch helps a lot; thank you

  2. Herman Maas says:

    fantastic!

  3. Michelle Smith says:

Hi Brian, any reason why I would have numbness after this stretch?

    • Brian Killian -Gabriel Method Coach says:

      not sure sorry Michelle.
maybe reduce the range of the stretch and see if that changes the effect.
hold for longer but not as strong.
let me know how you go

  4. Maria Luckow says:

Great, Just what I need ! thank you!

  5. Janique Evert says:

    Great stretch, thanks Brian!

  6. Neshama says:

Great timing Brian. I am dealing with intense pain in this area right now!

  7. Lynn Geller says:

Just what I needed! How long do we hold the stretch?

    • Coach Brian says:

As long as you need to Lynn. Sorry that’s poor advice, I mean until you feel the muscle ‘give’ a little. When it does that, apply a little more pressure and extend the stretch.
      That’s better advice 🙂
      All the best,
      Brian

    Brian,

First of all, your wife, Sharon, is lovely! 🙂

I just want to let you know how much I appreciate these short tips. I think, so far, it’s this one and the one for swelling in the calves and ankles, both of which I really need. (have I missed any others?) I’ve been doing the massage for the calves nearly every night and am noticing a noticeable difference.

Thirdly, I’ve been doing yours and Jon’s great GM Fitness exercises three times a week for a month now and already my body is feeling so much better. Thank you for your instructions and for your heartfelt wish to help keep us moving and improving. Because of doing massage (over 20,000 people….oh, why did I ever decide to estimate how many I’ve done!) for over 35 years, I have had several repetitive motion injuries which made it difficult to find exercises which do not trigger setbacks. GM Fitness works better for me than anything I’ve tried so far.

    • Coach Brian says:

Wow Catherine, 25ooo massages! That is incredible. You must be one of the best.
Thank you for your kind words, I very much appreciate it.
I do imagine when I’m doing these clips I’m talking to my GM mates so its great to ‘hear’ back from them sometimes.
Yes Sharon is a catch, we’ve had 3 kids together and get closer everyday, I’m a lucky bloke.
Love to keep posted on your progress with our GM Fitness.
Again I thank you and wish you great health,
      Brian

Thank you Brian. Do you have any stretches for behind the knees, especially for someone who sits for a living (mostly at a computer too.)?
