Hi I’m unable to download The Gabriel Method Book any ideas? Many thanks

  2. Toni Shields says:

How do we get our one-on-one session with Jon? I thought that was happening in May, but I haven’t heard anything.

  3. Kristen Priebe says:

Can you please tell me how to watch the Paul North Class? It has never loaded correctly and I asked for help in February for this lesson, it still comes up with an error message, “Error loading YouTube: Video could not be played”. I have been able to watch all other classes, but this one really has me stumped. Thanks

  4. Julie Kleban says:

If I have been in a few programs in the past, does your new 12 week program have new information that isn’t in the programs I’ve been in? Thanks
    Julie Kleban

  5. Susan Skinner says:

Where do we go from here. The five weeks is over, how do we refine our diet to lose weight? Sue

  6. Kristen Priebe says:

I am still unable to open the Paul North Class, even if I am logged into the member area. Any other suggestions?

  7. Kristen Priebe says:

I have tried to watch the Paul North Guest Class and it shows up with an error message. I thought we could go through the material at our own pace? Or are we limited to the week it is offered?

  8. Jody Fox says:

Does Jon or any of the coaches have any advice or experience with adding ketones into the diet? I have access to bio-identical ketones which are supposed to put the body in a state of ketosis and burn fat. I don’t want to use this if there is something in it that would not be good for my body or would prevent certain chemicals or hormones from doing what they are supposed to do. These have a great reputation but I don’t know if that’s because the business is strong or if the product is actually beneficial and safe. Key2lifeisketo.com Could you ask Jon what his recommendations are concerning ketones? Thank you.

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Jody,

Good question! Actually, Jon is not a big fan of exogenous ketones. He thinks that they work well in the short term, but there’s a risk that the body can grow dependant on them and that can make the body less able to produce ketones on its own.

  9. Shannon Chambers says:

Does Jon have specific affirmations he would recommend if your emotional issues are not that you were dominated but more that you were ignored, needs were ignored, not taken care of emotionally as a kid?

  10. Pamela Goble says:

What digestive enzymes are recommended? There are so many!

  11. Barbara Pel says:

Jon mentions some nuts does that mean a lot of walnuts, brazil nuts, macadamia nut, that are high in Omega 3 or does he mean only a small quantity of any nuts?

Can we use organic butter instead of Ghee?

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Barbara,

Jon is a big fan of nuts that are rich in Omega 3 only because they are stable and essential for weight loss and proper cellular function.

If organic butter means grass-fed butter, then they are both (ghee and grass-fed butter) okay.

  12. Barbara Pel says:

Is palm sugar better than using mejool dates in creating the energy/ protein balls?

  13. HELENE BARD says:

    HI
Can Jon tell me more about Omega 3 fish oil (1400 mg w 980 mg EPA/DHA) vs Krill oil? How much can be taken a day? Is one better than the other?

    Thanks

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Helene,

Both fish oil and krill oil are great. Krill oil is more potent so you can usually take smaller amounts to get the same effect as regular fish oil, which is usually why krill oil is more expensive.
The dosage of Omega-3 should depend on many factors. In general, we recommend you follow the label on your bottle. Here is a link to several charts that explain the dosage depending on the person or issue:

      https://www.scribd.com/document/35448857/Tribole-Omega-3-Fish-Oil-Dose-Chart-2010

      • Sandy says:

Wow! Thank you Jong. That document is very informative!! It seems to be rather honest. For example, if you don’t have any particular health problem they recommend “You can meet these levels by eating an average of 10 ounces of fatty fish per week”.
It then goes on to give details about a variety of health conditions that can be helped with Omega-3’s and an approximate dosage.
        Everyone should read this!

  14. Pinky Sadarangani says:

Hi, what can I substitute bread or rice with? I mean what carbs can I have with my meals?
And I have another question is right now we have to do 3 visualization in a day? Fat burn, digestion and evening? Am I right? Please guide me, thank you!

    • Gabriel Method Team says:

Hi Pinky. While the Gabriel Method is not a diet, in terms of restriction, what we try to do with the Gabriel Method is to make sure that your body is nourished enough to function optimally, which in turn allows your body to release the weight. This includes adding in the Big 3s (protein, Omega-3s & Live Foods) to every meal. The focus is on adding versus restriction.

You can listen to as many visualization as you can in a day. It really depends on you.

Hope this helps! -April, GM Team

  15. Shannon Chambers says:

I posted this on the facebook group too:
So I’m finding a lot of resistance coming up towards listening to the visualizations… I find myself telling myself I’m too tired or have too many things to do to listen. If I do listen I feel very frustrated like I just want them to be over with. Anyone experience the same thing? Or know that this could be all about or how I ca get over it?

  16. Sofie Hoste says:

I am looking for a good system to filter tap water. On FMTV i read that ‘APEC top TIER 5-stage ultra safe reverse osmosis drinking water filter system’ is a good system but it uses 3 to 20 timing more water… I am looking for a system with an extra tap next to the tap water and not an alone standing system like a Berkey filter. Because I don’t like all types of different machines in my kitchen (now already a food processor and a vitamix). Can you recommend a good filter? I live in Belgium. I don’t really know hich contaminants are in the water but it is surely very chlorated because i smell it. Thank you for your advice!

  17. Pinky Sadarangani says:

    hi ,
am a vegetarian could you please suggest replacement for egg?

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Pinky,
If you are referring to other protein sources for vegetarians, here they are: chia seeds, tempeh, nutritional yeast, spirolina ,raw sprouted vegan protein powder, sprouted mung beans, sprouted chickpeas, raw activated nuts and seeds, raw nut and seed butters

  18. Barbara Pel says:

    Hello,

Is there a recipe for veggie broth? Is that had instead of breakfast or just as a stop gap if doing intermittent fasting?
Is coffee ok? Is Lindt 90% cacao chocolate ok to have a little bit of?
Is it good to have cooked broccoli, cauliflower, brussells sprouts or better to have raw salads?

  19. Jane Mitchell says:

Does Jon have an opinion on taking provinal Omega 7 for weight loss?

  20. Kathleen Silvern says:

    Good morning,
Where do I find the shopping list that Jon mentioned. He said it was on the member site, but I can’t find it.
    Thanks for your help,
    Kate

  21. Kristen Priebe says:

I am trying to access the week 1 guest class and there is nothing there except a clock that shows I am missing it! How do I access it?

  22. Jacqueline Trifunovich says:

Hi – I am Jacqui from the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand. I am 55 years old and have three grown up sons and my first grandchild on the way.

I have recently been put on sick leave for several months (from my own business so it quite difficult to do) as I have overworked and over-cared for others for near 40 years and I am completely burned out.

One month of almost complete rest has made me realise that it is time to focus on me and part of that is my health.

I only joined the program yesterday but missed the live recordings. I see that the replay is now available so will listen/watch to that today. After I have listened to this, Will the next steps be obvious?

    Thanks
    Jacqui

  23. Kathleen Silvern says:

    Hi.
My name is Kate Silver, but I’m listed as Kathleen Silvern. Could we have that changed?
    thanks,
    Kate Silver

  24. Jane Jeffries says:

Can the NYNY2019 visualizations be added to Jon’s Visualization for Weight Loss app? Thanks.

  25. Tami Riley says:

I do water aerobics twice a week with dear friends and I love it! It’s great for a sense of community as well as good exercise. I read taking iodine can combat the Chlorine exposure. Or what would you recommend?

  26. Toni Shields says:

Is Xylosweet no longer a recommended sweetener? I prefer the taste and texture over stevia.

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Toni,
I believe one of the main ingredients of Xylosweet is Xylitol which Jon recommends it as a good sweetener alongside with Agave Nectar and Stevia.

      -Jong- GM Team

  27. Toni Shields says:

Hi! I’m Toni. I have 3 daughters (14, 18, 20). I teach communication full time at the local community college. I also run a not-for-profit event called Crop for the Cure, where we scrapbook for a day once a year to earn money for breast cancer awareness – last year we donated $5000 to Susan G. Komen. Let’s see… I have 2 dachshunds who are the light of my life and a kitty who I love dearly. I sell Thirty-One and Creative Memories. (no wonder I’m a little stressed, right? Just the teens alone are enough!).

I’m here to finally get this figured out (this being me!). I’ve been a fan of the Gabriel method for probably 8 years, but I’ve never actually lost weight with it. It just makes sense to me, but I haven’t been able to get my body to release. I’ve been listening to the night time visualization for about 2 months now.

Question: Is the eating you recommend similar or the same as like a Ketogenic diet? What are the differences? When I’ve done a keto in the past, around day 5 I start to get pretty bad muscle cramps – any suggestions for that?

Thanks! Looking forward to this journey!

  28. Jody Fox says:

    Jon,
I’m not seeing how to use the Interval timer in the NYNY. When I tap on it, it opens a window with directions but has no access to the actual timer.
    Thanks,
    Jody

  29. HELENE BARD says:

    Hi all
I’m Helene and I live in Northern Virginia near Washington DC. I have been retired for a few years and participated in the GM 12 Week total transformation after reading Jon’s book a few years ago. I have lost some, and now don’t weigh in at all. However, I am not keeping the good habits from the 12 week and decided to join this group instead of redoing the 12 week on my own. I have some momentum – my hip replacement has improved mobility so much, I have done enough tapping to clear some fears that I recognized and now it is time to learn enough good habits to get healthier. I have somewhere between 60 to 80 lbs to drop, and will be satisfied when I feel good and build up enough stamina to walk and keep up with others when I travel. I am bagging all clothes that are too large and asking my friends and spouse to help me recognize when to do this.

I know the Gabriel Method is the answer to all the messy dieting and challenges because it’s the first time my progress feels permanent and not subject to getting lost in the shuffle. I will enjoy working with all of you and especially Jon’s team.

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Helene,

Thanks for joining us here at the New You In The New Year 2019 program and for trusting us on your health and wellness journey. Likewise here, we enjoy working with you and we hope to help you out all the way with this journey. Cheers to a new you this year!

  30. Rebecca DiCandilo says:

    Hello.

My name is Rebecca and I live in NJ/NYC. I gained over 100 lbs during my pregnancy in 2011-2012. None of it has come off despite my daughter now being 6.5 years old. I listened to all the advice to breastfeed, do water aerobics, yoga, chair yoga ,DDP yoga, gluten free, diary free, get tested for allergies, etc.
For years, i neither gained or lost weight. Now this year I have started gaining weight which is the last straw for me. I saw an endocrinologist and he said until I figure out why my body is set at this weight, there wasn’t much to change it. Now I am seeing a nutrionist who is pushing gastric sleeve and is completely stumped why I don’t lose weight when I don’t eat more than 2000 calories, eat fast food, have junk in the house, no soda or sugar drinks, never diet soda, or highly processed foods.

Ive been on diets since i Was 8 years old. I had 2 lapband surgeries in 2009 and 2010 but the same malfunction happened each time. Right after the second one was removed in 2011, i got pregnant and even though i was nauseous and couldn’t eat much at all, each and every week I gained one kilo after another. Now I am at my highest weight ever. This last year was unusually hard as I had abnormal bleeding for 10 weeks and had to have endometrial ablation leaving me unable to have any more children. A few months later, I fell down steps twisting my left foot and landing my full weight on my right knee. This left me very limited in my activities. I am a single mom so I can’t sit around and I live on a 2nd floor apartment so I continue on with life, shopping and carrying groceries, driving my daughter to classes, working 3 jobs one of them in Manhattan so i commute using public transit to and from the city but its becoming harder and harder. I have sciatic pain which feels like back labor muscle cramps when I walk or stand and sitting isn’t much relief. Even laying on the bed now is painful so I use essential oils and CBD salve and vitamin supplements each day.

Man this really sounds like a doozy of a mess which is where I’m at and why i joined. Ive had Jon’s book now for 6 years and have done the visualizations but its not clicked for me. I dont want a sleeve. I know its just going to mask the symptom and not turn on my fat burning mode. I know my body is in survival mode because each month I survive the bills I need to pay.
Im an Adjunct professor and each semester I get a new schedule which doesn’t even cover half my living costs. So I host on Airbnb, which im quite good at and enjoy doing, and this covers our housing costs. And then two days a week I go into Manhattan to work as an office manager for a company that has been steadily declining and i was sure each month will be my last.

So there you have it in all its glory.

    • Sandy says:

Even though our stories are not the same they are so similar. I’m sure for many others too. You are very brave to put it all out there. Thank you. It helps you to write it but it also helps people, like me, to see that we are not alone. Here’s to moving forward!!!!!

    • Jong - GM Team says:

      Hi Rebecca,

Welcome to the NYNY 2019. Thanks for sharing this to the group. Sorry to hear about your knee and we hope you are feeling better. We are looking forward to a better you this year.

    • Rebecca Yuzefovich says:

      Hi Rebecca,

My name is Rebecca as well. I have 3 kids and have struggled to lose weight since number 3 was born. She is now 8 years old. I have been familiar with Jon Gaberial for over 5 years and it hasn’t yet clicked for me either. I have over 100 pounds to let go of and am a busy working mom supporting my family. I am ready for a change and am hopeful this program will give me the extra support that I need. Thanks for sharing your story, it helps me know I am not alone in my struggles.

  31. Sandy says:

    Hello,
I’m Sandy living in French Guiana.

All my life I was VERY athletic until I had some major health issues (that were misdiagnosed for 3 years) slowly condemning me to a wheelchair. With the total lack of any physical activity, I kept gaining weight, and gaining weight …. in spite of the fact that I was seriously being careful about what I ate. This is where I am convinced that the psychological and emotional factors are what have gotten me to ~90lbs overweight.

After my operations and extended stays in a rehabilitation center, I am walking again!!!! But, the weight isn’t going away. I am very encouraged by your program that tackles the underlying causes. I am particularly interested in the anti-inflammatory information – I’m guessing that might have a lot to do with my problem – on a physical level. 😉

    I’m excited to get started.
    Thanks!!!

  32. Shannon Chambers says:

Hi! I’m Shannon, a busy working mom 🙂 I have been wanting to lose “baby weight” since my son was born 3 years ago. I am 20 pounds heavier than I was when I got pregnant and I just have very little time to workout and can’t seem to lose the weight despite trying all kinds of things.
I also won’t be able to listen at the exact right time every night so I would like to know how to listen to the coaching sessions.
Also, should we be doing anything specifically right now to prepare? Any specific visualizations or readings? I don’t have a lot of extra time so I’d like to get started ASAP.
    Thanks!

    • Gabriel Method Team says:

Hi Shannon. All events will be recorded so you can watch them at your convenience. You can start with listening to any of the morning and evening visualizations. Hope this helps! 🙂 -Monica, GM Team

  33. Pamela Glasgow says:

Hi, I’m Pam and live in Texas. Just joined the NYNY program and am getting caught up on all the information available. I was reading the comments already posted and can definitely relate with all the feelings/emotions/doubts/questions Sofie raised. I am VERY interested in finally getting rid of 40+ pounds that I’ve had for a very long time. I’m a past yo-yo dieter and am looking to break that habit this year. 2019 is the year for me to focus on me. LOL. Looking forward to the program and eager to get started.

Happy 2019 to all and best regards,
    Pam

  34. Susan Skinner says:

I can’t make any of the times because of my work schedule. How do I participate?

  35. Sofie Hoste says:

Just signed in! Feel happy and feel fear together!

I am Sofie and i live in Belgium.
I struggle with my 10kg overweight for years now and i want to get rid of it.
As i opened the member area i feel a bit overwhelmed by the abundance of information.

I feel a lot of resistance right now, what is very strange for me, because i really wanted to get thin!
I also feel immediately doubt and fear: was it a good choice to do this now?
And what if this doesn’t work for me? Wasn’t it better to not let me disappointed and hold the 10kg extra…
I think it will be difficult to follow the live sessions as my time zone is quiet reverse as the Australian time zone. Does that mean that it won’t work as good? i hope not.
I also feel the protection that my 10 kg shield gives me right now.
What if i get thin and people will really SEE me? Strange because ‘getting seen’ is the thing i most missed and most wanted just until yesterday…

But i feel sparkles to get started and will do everything to give it its best chance!

Where can i start right now as the program only starts the 21th of January? I tried already some visualisations (as i am also member of FMTV.com)

    morning greetings!

    Sofie

    • Gabriel Method Team says:

      Hi Sofie,

Welcome to the NYNY 2019. We’re glad you can join us. I can see that you did an advance reading. That’s great! We suggest though that you wait for the program to start so you can get to read the reminder emails we will be sending out before the Live Classes.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it during the Live Classes. Replays will be available within 24-48 hours.
See you around! We wish you all the best!
