    Hi Jon,

I only just listened to Carol’s class.

‘Drama addiction’…This is the second time I’ve heard of it (although not with these words) creates the physiology of moving from fight and flight into freeze but instead of moving back to a base level before the ‘tiger’ the physiology goes back into fight mode—and never relaxes to a normal level.

I only recognize this as it’s been my habit and was shown to me as a bell curve…. from what I understand,…if you were in survival mode, like I was, as a child, and this chemistry was part of survival.,… Therefore it’s familiar so no fight is too uncomfortable and the body wants that physiology from fight or self sabatoge… etc…

The mind body releases etc seem to work…

My thighs hands and feet are often cold for no apparent temperature reason and again, this is familiar for people that work with traumatized people (I always thought it was just me…)…So interesting.and it seems like this is in line with how our body shuts down areas that are not needed for immediate survival. How sad that this is normal for me and others.

I finally have found an edge..thank you Jon, .and know somewhere in my heart that I will tip to another place…it’s just not as familiar yet….

    Cheers
    Annah

      Hi Annah,

That is fantastic that you are finding more insight on where you are and how your body is reacting to things. If you explore it more, you may be able to change your responses that do not affect you as negatively.

that was very informative and has given me fresh incentive to continue with my own Qi Gong practice and to improve my meditation “habit” – thanks to both of you Carol and Jon

The Q&A sessions are called LIVE Q&A – and there is one each in Week 1, Week 3 and Week 5. The Day 5 Talk would be the Core Class (Mind Body Connection) in Week 5. Please let us know how you go.
