Is it not all caused by our believes (even believes of scientists making research)? So many people, incl. my husband, can eat tons of gluten packed food and they stay thin and healthy. I know the fat trigger, but we are all one species, how come it works like this on some people and different on other? I think, its just believes. What do you think, Jon or Jon’s team? once sugar was promoted as healthiest source of energy 🙂 My uncle use to eat tons of sugar to make him strong and healthy and he stayed thin and well…

    • Agnieszka Lisztwan says:

Oh, and plus, jt seams like I was getting fatter and fatter when I was finding out whats healthy whats not, what makes you fat etc. And everyone has different results of reaserches :/

  2. Megan says:

Corn doesn’t have gluten. It can have it’s own issues for people but does not have gluten. I agree with your video post though. When I went gluten free I lost 12 lbs without doing much. I was careful to not use gluten free processed foods but use some whole grains.

    Hello,

Could you please advise whether sprouted wheat bread or gluten free bread is a healthier option? Also, what about organic tofu? Is it true that all tofu is genetically modified (whenever I eat tempeh, my stomach feels really acidic, so I tend to avoid it)? My problem is that I am following a vegan diet, so sometimes I just worry whether I get enough complete protein.

    Thank you very much.

    Inga

    • Jon Gabriel says:

      Hi Inge,

Gluten free is always best. Gluten causes real problems. So does tofu for that matter. Instead of tofu, try tempeh, it’s fermented and doesnt cause the same problems as tofu. Also get a vegetarian protein powder to suppliment

Just getting a black box too. On a couple videos. Please fix.

  7. BethTN says:

I am very interested in this topic but all I have is a black box. The video won’t play. Perhaps the glitch is back?

  8. Terry Coffey says:

I’d like to know what your take is on sprouted grains Jon. And is spelt a good thing or bad? I understand it’s an ancient grain, distantly related to wheat.

    • Jon Gabriel says:

      Hey Terry,

I’m just not crazy about grains at all. Certainly sprouted grains are better, cause they have less insulin surging sugar and spelt is a better grain than wheat for sure. But I’m finding more and more alternatives to grains. For example chia bran, coconut flour, almond meal, these all act like grains for cooking purposes, but are much healthier for you.

  9. Cynthia Hensley says:

The black box for the start of the video shows up but it won’t play?

  10. Cynthia Hensley says:

Linda, I have rolled oats every morning with blueberries nuts when I can and stevia. I have also been known to have a bit of butter melted in it with 1tbsp of sliced- organic- non- gmo flax seeds. Can’t find out if it’s okay or not yet. This is only the second question re: oats. I hope someone answers too! I am new to this and truth be told I’ve had brown sugar instead of stevia and butter for sure on the weekends.

    • Janine says:

      Hi Cynthia,

Oats are gluten free, however there is a catch! Many oats are manufactured where they can be contaminated with gluten, so for anyone with an allergy to gluten we recommend you purchase oats that specifically say that they are officially gluten free. I hope this helps!

Interesting topic! Colette Baron-Reid seems to have the same opinion on gluten (read her book ‘Weight Loss for People Who Feel Too Much’). I tend to experience that gluten (which is a sugar) is part of a ‘noice food’ for me, and makes it difficult for me to stop eating. I’m curious too about the research source, if you can give more information about it, it would be appreciated. 🙂

  12. Linda A Muldoon says:

I have not come across anything about oatmeal. Having oatmeal with fresh apple, cinnamon and a little salt for breakfast. Could this affect my insulin level? I eat this because it satisfies me for quite a long period and I don’t have any cravings.

    • Inga Kavoliunaite says:

      Hi Linda,

I am allergic to oats, but found out that quinoa flakes is a great alternative. Tastes really nice with blueberries and cinnamon for example. 🙂

  13. Ida Thompson says:

Now what I think about what you said regarding Glutens you are right on track so informative and direct. I will eat my rabbit food for now and then try the chia seeds , flaxseeds, almond & coconut flours. I also understand the extra virgin coconut oil is the right kind of fat to embrace/(replace) instead of butter, margarine in our cooking methods.

  14. Ida Thompson says:

Before I found out about your method. I read the book called Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis and went cold turkey off any thing with wheat flour stated on the labels. that left me in 3 days of waking up without joint pain and I feel great. There are some many foods that have wheat flour and when I saw it was in soy sauce I was floored. I haven’t tried coconut flour or almond flour yet because I’m trying to eliminate foods with labels all together. I know that this is what I need in my life and I can’t thank you enough. also thanks for making it affordable. I’m a type 2 diabetic and I have always had high blood sugars 160-440’s, now every morning they are in the range of 60-145. but I still keep gaining weight 10lbs in a 6 week time ffram since 12-31-12. Plus Im having ringing in my ears now that my sugars are lower. I look forward to the dvd’s I ordered the other day. And I know there will be good results very soon. once again you are a godsend.

  15. Jillian Stuart says:

for those who have not seen this blog — Elanas Pantry.com— full of really delicious items made with almond flour and coconut flour, no sugar. and she has 2 cookbooks and another arriving this spring. these are so great for transitioning your food from wheat and processed. i made choc.cupcakes today for my husband who still eats wheat and many other things we won’t even mention…all part of my plot to make his diet cleaner…sort of like sneakind veg into the kids pasta sauce.

    Hi Jon,
The page tells me I don’t have access to the area, as well. Though, I am a support group member as part of my current Ultimate Coaching.
Perhaps a glitch in the system?
I would be interested in the information, as I’ve chosen to go wheat free in the past five weeks, for the indefinite future.
    Thanks.

Hi, Jon. I have the same problem. You might want to discuss with your IT people. Someone wrote to apologize and say the problem had been fixed, about a week ago.. but it’s still not working. I’m getting the message, “You do not have access to this area.” I’m quite sure I signed up for full access at the $10 first month introductory rate you were offering. I’d love to see your video on wheat gluten, as I’m sure it’s an issue for me.

Hi Jon, I received your e-mail with a link to “Does Gluten Make You Fat” and I do not have access to the video. I have gone to Members Home and still no access. Was the email sent in error to me. I have signed up for as much as I can afford so do not have a good handle on what I have access to based upon what I have paid. Some specific advice would be helpful. Thanks, Al

Hi there! Would it be possible to get a reference to the scientific paper? I am a scientist myself and would be really curious to find out more about this. Thanks!
