Hi there, When I did this Detox, I discovered that dairy was causing my eczema. I now want to make the GM Zucchini &n Salmon lasagne but it is loaded with cheese. I can tolerate goat cheese but am looking for alternatives to mozzarella (I think a goat cheese brick type will work) and for ricotta. Not sure what to replace ricotta with. Thanks. Johanne

I was going to suggest cottage cheese, but then realized that it’s also dairy. Is there a goat cheese version of cottage cheese that might work? I suppose you can always skip the ricotta.

      Hi Johanne,
That is wonderful news that you were able to work out what was causing your eczema! The best alternative for you would be nut cheeses – here is a link to Cashew cheese
      http://boldvegan.com/cashew-cheese-easy-recipe/
However, you can also google to see if there are local suppliers of ready made nut cheeses in your area as well. Hope this helps – and please let us know how you go with the GM lasagne!

goat cheese and sheep cheese are what you are looking for. Goat cheese as a farmer cheese is soft and a lot like ricotta and there is a sheep cheese that is a lot like parmesan. I have goats and make my own cheese. Feta is normally oversalted so you need to find goat cheese that is only split with lemon and not salted or only lightly salted

    Hi Jon,
Thank you for your support for this detox I am very grateful. Yesterday I didn’t feel good I couldn’t drink My last 2 juices and soup. I just drank water and mint tea without coconut oil. I feel so tired and without any energy.
I didn’t have this experience the 1st 4 days. Is this normal?
    Thank you.
    Farideh

Hi Farideh, it sounds like you weren’t giving your body enough nutrients, missing out on the soup/juice/teas, which might be why you felt tired and low-energy. Hopefully by now you are post-cleanse, enjoying lots of live foods, and feeling stronger! Well done on getting through the cleanse. Kind regards, Sherri, GM Team

This evening, I soaked two tablespoons of chia seeds in a glass of water. Minutes later, my stomach started gurgling, as if digestion was going on. Did I make the chia drink incorrectly?

  4. Shayndel Kahn says:

What protein powders do you recommend?

    • gabrielmethod says:

      Hi Shayndel,
Jon prefers Sun Warrior brand protein powder. However, if you are not able to get this, Jon recommends purchasing a product that has no added sweeteners or flavours. Hope this helps.

Amazing time – I am so changed: no smoking, no coffee, let go of some deep emotions. Thank you so much.

What pro-biotic supplement to you recommend?

Is Bragg’s Nutritional Yeast Seasoning o.k. ? – for taste and
    for B vitamins.

    • Jon Gabriel says:

We have a pro-biotic called micro flora 50 that’s very high quality. Otherwise please choose one that has several different strains of friendly bacteria.

The Bragg’s sounds good. Bragg’s usually come out with high quality products.

      Happy you are enjoying!
