    Hi Heather,
I’m looking forward to your show on healing your gut! I have a question that ties in – my daughter has severe eczema and bleach baths are recommended to prevent skin infections. She’s been working hard to get probiotics and eat lots of organic whole foods to develop a healthy gut, so would the bleach baths undo the good? Could the water invade her gut through her orifices while soaking? They also said Bragg’s vinegar could be substituted, but wasn’t as effective. Does this also apply to swimming pools? Are there any alternatives to bone broth – she dislikes it. We really hope the improved gut will help the eczema.

My daughter (adult) has moderate eczema. It’s extremely itchy when it flares. We are wondering if it could be due to food sensitivities or leaky guy syndrome, but she has no digestive problems. She’s following an anti-inflammatory diet, but not sure it helps. She plans to try theracurmin to see if it helps the inflammation. We heard bone broth helps but she finds that unappealing, so would gelatin help? Her gall bladder was removed a year ago, and her eczema is worsening. Does she really need digestive enzymes and oxbile, since her digestive system does not bother her? We have so many questions, but it seems there are so many different opinions. I don’t want her to take things which turn out to cause more problems than they help. I love you to hear your take. Thanks!

Hi Rita, I developed eczema and I had no idea what was causing it until I did a detox and had to eliminate dairy, caffein, etc. for about 5 days. It started clearing up and as soon as I reintroduced dairy I got a flare up. I was not a big milk drinker either. I had some milk in my coffee and I ate Greek yogourt daily. It may be worth having her cut out all dairy for a few days to see what happens. I don’t have eczema anymore except when I indulge in dairy such as feta in a Greek salad. I now eat feta made of goat and or sheep cheese and have no problem with it. I hope this helps.because I can certainly relate to the extremely itchy skin. – Johanne

        Hi Johanne,
Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, I really think she should eliminate dairy. In fact, the National Eczema Foundation states that dairy is the number 1 food associated with eczema. She eats Annie’s cheese crackers, but they have cheese, and they will have to go, as will as the parmesan cheese on the pasta. Thanks!
